RCMP Canadian Champions Contest Prize Winners
In the spring of 2013, the Grade 9 Healthy Living class created a 30-second drug prevention video to be entered into a contest that would see the winning video be used as a role modeling tool as part of an education package for youth across Canada. This summer we received a call from an RCMP officer in Halifax letting us know that, although we didn’t win the contest, we were judged among the top 5 videos in Canada. As a result, the prize package consisting of a Blue Jays t-shirt autographed by Brett Lawrie and Adam Loewen for each participant in the video contest as well as one autographed Sidney Crosby Canadian Olympic jersey. Congratulation to Mrs. Cordeau and the class for your prize winning entry. Missing from the photo are two students that have transferred from our school.
