An Là Mór 2013 at Rankin School of the Narrows/Sgoil Mhic Fhraing a’ Chaolais
This year the Gaelic Council of Nova Scotia will hold the An Là Mór event at the Rankin School of the Narrows in Iona and at the Christmas Island Fire Hall on Saturday, May 11. There is no admission for the DAY PROGRAM at Rankin.
The event opens at 10:00 am with tea, followed by the Comhairle na Gàidhlig Annual General Meeting at 10:30 am. There will be Workshops on language, using technology and Colour from a Gaelic perspective. Lunch is provided on site.
The afternoon will include a trade show, day-long children’s activities, youth presentations, and a Roundtable Discussion on Growing up with Gaelic.
EVENING Maragan / Roast Beef Dinner served at 6 pm at Christmas Island Fire Hall, featuring Master of Ceremonies Angus MacLeod and Guest Speaker Hector MacNeil. There will be a Céilidh and square sets to follow until 11 pm.
